say we love candles would be insufficient. If you enter the LC.com offices in a given time, you’re guaranteed to find a lit candle, sometimes more than one. Lately, when we’ve been burning two or more candles at the same time, we have realized that it can be quite unpredictable. Sometimes the smells are mixed to perfection to create our own luxurious fragrance signature. And other times, it is quite clear that these two candles were definitely not meant to go together. Go. Lesson learned!
So for our fellow sailing enthusiasts, we decided to share some tips and tricks we’ve learned about making the perfect cocktail candle. From Bijou is one of our brands very favorite candles, we have partnered with them to bring you this guide to the mix of home fragrances (and draw !). We discovered Bijou candles over a year ago, and now we burned almost every day. They smell divine, of her sensual Boudoir online collection fresh, floral Fete de Fleurs . They are also some of our favorite candles to give as gifts because their bases are so beautiful French-inspired and worthy of Instagram. And with its Build Your Bijou option, you can fill your base once the candle is gone or mix and match flavors with beautiful French-inspired foundation of your choice.
Now, without further ado, here are our favorite custom Bijou odoriferous combinations for budding mixologist candle …
French lavender lilac Wild + = flower Shop
Mix of flowers is always a good idea. Whatever flowers happen to be the favorites, they are virtually guaranteed to mix well together. Burning multiple floral aromas while the heady scent mimics entering a flower shop or inhaling a bouquet of fresh cut flowers.
Blue Bamboo + Meyer Mint = Spa Day
One of the favorite ways of using candles is to recreate a relaxing spa atmosphere from the comfort of your own home. As simple as they are, there is something about candles that feels so luxurious and refreshing in the same way as does a spa day.
To create your own spa-like atmosphere, combine Bijou Blue Bamboo , which smells like a product of expensive bathroom with mint Meyer , which has the invigorating scent of spa water infusion of lemon and fresh mint leaves. Save this combo candle while the DIY face mask or facial steam applies.
Bois de Rose Vanille + blackcurrant = Parfumerie Paris
There is something quintessentially Parisian about the essence of the tibia Bois Vanille combined with a rich Pink & currant . You wish you could bottle this scent and wear it on your wrists. Alternatively, you could exchange the scent of roses and passes by Bijou French Lavender if you prefer.
We especially love this mixture burns in his vanity as being prepared or in your powder room for guests to enjoy.
Tabac Noir + Ambre Tubereuse = moon Boudoir
This flavor combination is the perfect pair of candles to burn in your bedroom. The rich leaf snuff and rosewood Tabac Noir blends perfectly with the deep amber and spice mixture in Amber Tuberose , both of which they are a part of Boudoir collection. You will feel relaxed and at home as soon as they are light.
These combinations are really only the beginning, of course! Half the fun is in experimenting and finding a winning combination of their own. Remember that when you are making your own candle cocktail, it helps to think about what scents recreate a certain mood or place when combined. If that is a cabin in the woods or a trip to the sea, the smell is the main sense that it is linked to memory what a powerful force in your mood.
