Ahnesti Puriti Uplifting Shampoo & Conditioner Review

by Angela T.

As a brand, Ahnesti focuses on the use of organic, natural ingredients and non-toxic . Puriti uplifting shampoo and conditioner are designed to provide volume, shine, manageability, and strength through ingredients mostly of vegetable origin. I have very fine hair slightly wavy ,, said it is dry and tends to tangle and frizz. Usually Renuncio shampoos and conditioners to give volume for hydration and softening products. Ahnesti Puriti of uplifting shampoo and conditioner promise volume, thickness, brightness and smoothing unruly hair.

Both the shampoo and conditioner are scented with rosemary, geranium, ylang ylang and. The smells are similar but have found that the conditioner smell a little sweeter and nicer than the shampoo. Generally speaking, I’m not a fan of herbal aromas. Fortunately, however, for me and for others who have similar olfactory sensibilities, the scent of herbs does not stop the hair.

The sulfate-free shampoo uses a cleanser derived from coconut sugar. It provides a rich, thick foam and does an excellent job of untangling hair. The shampoo cleaning power was strong enough to clean the hair with just a little extra product after using the dry shampoo for two days.

The sulfate free conditioner feels thick in his hands, but absorbed very quickly and feel weightless on the hair. The conditioner absorbs so quickly that it seemed best to implement my hair into sections instead of taking a big glob and stain all his hair as I do with other conditioners. It also absorbs so weightless that I felt like I almost had nothing to rinse out my hair.

The shampoo and conditioner delivered in volume and thickness. I did not realize a significant increase in brightness, but the shampoo and conditioner did not do my hair without also shine. Still he needed a hair oil or cream to soften my flyaways and help control frizz. One of the most impressive qualities of shampoo and conditioner was how good my hair untangled. During my tests, I continued my usual use of a light conditioner without rinsing plus some hair oil or cream. With Ahnesti products, my hair was significantly less tangled throughout the day and after waking up in the morning. This is serious is no small thing for my hair!

Both the shampoo and conditioner share many of the same ingredients and benefits including panthenol, one B5 provitamin that softens hair and helps retain moisture and hair hydroxypropyl guar gum guar deritvative that helps in disentangling and neutralizes static. In addition, there are several botanicals and plant extracts that promote hair health.

After using the shampoo and conditioner for 30 days, the tips of my hair remained healthy. I liked the way my hair felt to the touch during the last 30 days. For me, that raises Ahnesti Puriti shampoo and conditioner are a great choice for use during the warmer months. When the weather turns colder and dryer, I think I could still use the shampoo, but need more moisturizing conditioner (which has Ahnesti and am interested in trying now based on my experience with their products to add volume!).
